2025 - P7 Pirelli National Superstock
What a year it’s been! I’m so pleased with what I’ve achieved this year. I’ve been overwhelmed by everyone’s support and have so many people to thank.
The last few rounds have proved very difficult for me, and I believe the Oulton Park crash had a huge knock-on effect. Not only on my confidence, but I also struggled with wrist and shoulder pain at Brands Hatch, where I didn’t feel comfortable on the bike. I wasn’t very pleased with Brands Hatch, but I think I did an OK job with everything considered. Needless to say, I need to look at the bigger picture and appreciate everything we have achieved this year.
I achieved my best result of 4th place, narrowly missing out on the podium. I also had a pole position, which came in the second race at Thruxton. Eleven top tens this year, and I’m very happy with my consistency, which ultimately led to my 7th place finish in the championship.
There are so many people I want to thank, and first it goes to the team at JR Performance Racing. What a team! I feel so at home here, and it’s very important to have the right people around you. I truly believe I have that. Big Joe (Joe Richardson) has always believed in me and helped me massively this year, and I’m very grateful for everything he has done. Cal, (Emms Road And Race) my data man, has brought my confidence on leaps and bounds, and I’ve really enjoyed our debriefs and looking at where we can go faster. I like the way we work and study the data, and he has adapted it perfectly to suit my style. My mechanic Benno (Neil Bennett) has worked incredibly hard all year, constantly behind the scenes making sure things are right for me and that my head is in the game.
Not to forget a separate thank you to Super Steve Hooper , or as he’s better known, my other dad! No one understands how much effort and commitment he puts in for me, and I’ll always be so thankful to have him looking after me. You’re not only my other mechanic and sponsor, but also my best mate. You really do get my head in the game and put me in the right frame of mind for racing. You are the man!
As well as my team, I must say a huge thank you to my personal group of people who help me. Starting with Chris Moffatt and Claire, who have helped me for over three years now. Without them, this dream simply wouldn’t be possible. Chris has devoted all his time and attention to making sure things are put into place and that I am on that grid. He’s a man of many talents, whether that’s raising money for me, meeting sponsors, organising meetings, and much more. I don’t have enough words to express my thanks to them both.
My sister Chloe has done an amazing job all year round managing my social accounts, and she’s also done an amazing job of putting up with me .
My granny and grandad have been a massive part of journey, and it’s been extremely tough not to have my granny by my side this season. I hope I have made her proud this year, and I know that she is looking down on me with her wicked sense of humour.
I have a huge list of sponsors to thank, and without you all, none of this is possible. I can’t chase the dream without you.
