I’m really excited to be hosting the fourth annual Finley Arscott Racing fundraising dinner, taking place this year at the fantastic Strawberry Fields Restaurant in Lifton.
Each year this event brings together friends, supporters and motorsport fans for an evening of great food, stories from the paddock and, most importantly, support for my racing journey.
This year we are joined by two huge names in British motorcycle racing, Shane “Shakey” Byrne and Bradley Ray, who will be sharing stories from their careers and giving a behind-the-scenes look at life at the top of the sport.
A Growing Event
What started as a small idea to help support my racing has grown into something really special. Over the past three years the event has welcomed more than 120 guests each year, all coming together to support my journey in motorcycle racing.
We have also been incredibly fortunate to have some amazing guests join us over the years, including Carl Fogarty, Tommy Bridewell, John McGuinness, Jamie Whitham and Shane “Shakey” Byrne.
Their stories, insight and support have helped make the evenings unforgettable for everyone who attends.
Supporting the Racing Journey
Motorcycle racing at national level comes with significant costs. Entry fees, travel, tyres, equipment, fuel and repairs all add up throughout the season.
Events like this play a huge role in helping me continue competing and progressing in the sport. The support from everyone who attends the fundraiser genuinely helps make racing possible.
Having only started riding at the age of 16, my journey through the sport has moved quickly. From racing in national championships to competing in the British Superstock 1000 Championship, every step forward has been made possible through the support of people around me.
An Evening of Motorsport Stories
This year’s dinner promises to be another fantastic evening. Guests will enjoy a three course meal, the chance to hear stories from two legends of the sport, and an opportunity to be part of a great night celebrating motorcycle racing.
Most importantly, it is a chance for everyone attending to play a part in helping support the next chapter of my racing journey.
